TWIN CITY

Minneapolis Steel & Machinery was founded in 1902, primarily building steel sections for bridges, before tractor production began using the Twin City Brand. The company enjoyed a boost in profitability when it was contracted to build Case and Bull tractors, in addition to their own, and in 1929 merged with the Moline Plow and Minneapolis Threshing Machine companies to form the Minneapolis-Moline Company. This new company continued to produce Twin Motors tractors for many years after the merger.
