OLIVER - Forklift
The Oliver Farm Equipment Company came to be when four companies who were struggling in their respective fields joined forces in 1929. This enabled the new company to offer a full range of farming products under the one brand, and soon Oliver was growing by acquiring other businesses. Before being bought out by the White Motor Corporation in 1960, they were manufacturing crawlers, tractors and other non-agricultural products, most notably for the defence industry. White subsequently dropped the Oliver name in 1973.
