AVELING BARFORD - Rollers
From 1934 Aveling-Barford manufactured cooking equipment for hotels and hospitals, cooling equipment for dairy farms, and three quarters of Britain’s road rollers. The company went on to make earth-moving equipment, such as the 30 tonne RD030 and 50 tonne RD050, before being acquired by British Leyland in 1967. Barfords is now owned by Invictus Engineering, ST Kinetics owns the rights to the Aveling Barford RXD series of articulated dump trucks, while South Korean Doosan own the Barford rigid dump truck range.
