Rover

Existing in its own right between 1904 and 1967, the marque continued to be used by future owners such as the Leyland Motor Company, British Motor Holdings, British Leyland, the Austin-Rover Group, the Rover Group, MG Rover, BMW and Ford. The Land Rover was the company’s biggest seller during the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, while the upmarket Range Rover also generated impressive income for the company. At this point in time the Rover brand is owned by Tata Motors, having been sold by Ford as part of Jaguar Land Rover in 2008.
