Nissan

On its own Nissan is the sixth largest car manufacturer in the world, however if you include its global alliance with Renault, who has a 43.4% controlling stake in Nissan, it would be the fourth biggest. Nissan manufactures cars under its own name, its luxury division Infiniti, and its low-cost arm Datsun. Nissan phased out Datsun in 1986, but re-launched the brand in 2013 into emerging markets. Between 1989 and 1992, Nissan and Ford struck a partnership in Australia, with Nissan Pintara’s sold as Ford Corsair’s, and a model of the Ford Falcon sold as Nissan Ute’s.
